[ENG] During my artistic residency as part of the Free Residency Program at the Škôlka Cultural Center in Dúbravica (as part of the Residencies 2021 project), I focused on the creation of key components and subsequent presentation of a multimedia installation titled Harvest. Since it was an open residency, I invested my time during the past autumn months in finalizing the aforementioned multimedia installation, which addresses the issue of deforestation, one of the most significant environmental catastrophes caused by humans.
In my opinion, a residency experience is inherently tied to the area or environment in which an artist creates, and I couldn’t help but respond to this aspect in a way that resonated with me. The center is situated in a rural landscape, which, like every resident artist, encouraged me to explore. Therefore, throughout my stay, I embarked on several solitary journeys through the region, both in daylight and at night, even spending the night outdoors. The landscape left its mark on me, just as I left my own marks on the landscape, which I recorded through GPS tracking. From the recorded route I created authentic graphic that served as a basis for a tattoo, which I performed as a performative act without mechanical assistance directly in the center of the residency. This way, the entire experience left an indelible mark on me, stemming from an authentic immersion in the landscape.
The outcome, aside from the indelible graphic on my body, is a record that documents the entire process of traveling and leaving marks, both on the land and on my body. Škôlka in Dúbravica served as a refuge for my creative work during the pandemic (Covid19) period. The conclusion of my residency took the form of a presentation of the residents for the year 2021, in the form of an exhibition, which, unfortunately, due to the mentioned period, only took place in an intimate atmosphere among artists and through online streaming.

[SK] Pobyt počas umeleckej rezidencie v rámci Voľného rezidenčného programu v kultúrnom centre Škôlka v Dúbravici (ako súčasť projektu Laboratórium súčasnej kultúry na vidieku / rezidencie 2021) bol v mojom prípade v podobe tvorby kľúčových častí a následného prezentovania multimediálnej inštalácie s názvom Žatva. Pretože išlo o voľnú rezidenciu, čas strávený počas posledných jesenných mesiacoch som investoval do finalizácie spomínanej multimediálnej inštalácie, ktorá je zameraná na problematiku odlesňovania, čo je jedna z najväčších ekologických katastrof spôsobená človekom.
Keďže podľa môjho názoru je všeobecne rezidenčný pobyt spätý s oblasťou/prostredím, kde umelec tvorí, tak mi nedalo nezareagovať na tento aspekt mne príznačným spôsobom. Centrum je osadené vo vidieckej krajine, ktorá tak ako každého rezidenta tak aj mňa popri tvorbe nabáda na skúmanie. Preto som sa v priebehu pobytu niekoľkokrát osamote vydal na putovanie touto oblasťou v čase aj nečase, cez deň ale aj v noci s prespaním v teréne. Krajina na mne, ale aj ja na krajine zanechávam stopy, ktoré som si zaznamenával cez GPS zariadenie. Zo záznamu trasy vznikla autentická grafika slúžiaca ako podklad pre tetovanie, ktoré som si ako performatívny akt sám bez mechanizmov vytetoval priamo v centre rezidencie. Takto na mne celý pobyt zanechal nezmývateľnú stopu, vychádzajúcuz autentického prežitia si krajiny.
Výstupom okrem nezmývateľnej grafiky na mne je aj záznam, dokumentujúci celý tento proces putovania a zanechávania stôp ako na krajine tak aj na tele. Škôlka v Dúbravici mi počas pandemického (Covid19) obdobia poslúžila ako útočisko pre tvorbu. Finalizácia pobytu bola v podobe prezentácie rezidentov za rok 2021, formou výstavy, ktorá sa žiaľ uskutočnila kvôli spomínanému obdobiu iba v komornej atmosfére umelcov a prostredníctvom online prenosu.
